About Dr. Huyen Phan
Huyen “Kim” Phan, MSN, RN, AGACNP is a Nurse Practitioner with Houston Colon. Kim received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Prairie View A&M University. She then went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing from the Texas Woman’s University.
Kim approaches patient care by respecting and honoring different cultures and values. Kim can ensure an environment under which the patient’s physical, mental, and social well-being are promoted and protected. Kim believes it is not about treating the disease process, it is about managing the patient as a unique wholesome being.
Kim knows how important collaborations with other professionals and cultural competence have everything to do with everyday interactions and treatment of human beings. Kim is committed to creating a culture that will cultivate respect, compassion, and teamwork to protect the integrity of her duties and contribution to patient safety.
When not treating patients, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, and gardening. Kim also enjoys jogging and challenging herself with CrossFit and muscle strengthening.
